About Us

Welcome to the Computational Behavioral Science Lab at Columbia Business School, directed by Professor Sandra Matz. We explore human behavior through a combination of computational modeling and traditional experimental designs. Bringing together people from a diverse range of academic disciplines – including psychology, organizational and consumer behavior, computer science, and neuroscience – we leverage novel data sources and analytical techniques to better understand how individuals and organizations think, feel and behave. Our ultimate goal is to help people and organizations make smarter and more ethical decisions.
